Mold Damage – Fort Collins Laundry Room

Mold damage at this Fort Collins house began with a leaky hose in the laundry room. The leaky hose was concealed behind the washing machine, so it went unnoticed for some time. The dry wall wicked up the water as it leaked so the situation was not discovered until the wall became completely saturated. The moisture and darkness were a perfect breeding ground for mold growth. We were first called upon to clean up the water, and the extent of the mold damage was discovered when we moved the appliances. We needed to remove the saturated drywall and clean up the mold. We used commercial air movers and dehumidifiers to help with the drying process. We treated the studs with an antimicrobial compound before rebuilding the walls.
