Water damage – Fort Collins Home

Water damage was incurred at this Fort Collins home when a water pipe broke. The before photo clearly shows the broken section of pipe laying on the floor. The kitchen cabinetry and the drywall behind the cabinets had to be removed as they were damaged due to the delay in repairing the broken pipe that was responsible for the initial water damage. Secondary damage of this nature can be prevented with a faster reporting of the water damage. The interior of the wall needed to be treated for mold prevention by cleaning and applying an antimicrobial. This procedure was necessary since the water had wicked up the drywall.
